Squirrels and Shrew
In the
order of the photos, the first 4 of these animals were found in the same spot
in Fraser’s Hill, reflecting its richness in biodiversity. The 5th
squirrel is photographed in AHD, Penang.
1.
Himalayan Striped Squirrel. A cute little squirrel which can move on leaves.
Note the interesting white tips on the ears.
2.
Gray-bellied Squirrel.
3. Treeshrew. I saw them in front and behind my house. A squirrel
brave enough to find food near human residential compounds.
4. Lesser
Gymnure.
5. Plantain
Squirrel. Common squirrel seen in most parts
of Malaysia.
